Belief

Belief is a light, a little lamp,

That glows deep within the mind,

In many a dark night

It quietly shines.

When the storm is fierce and all is lost,

And the road seems to end,

Belief stands up,

Never fades, but always gives light.

I’ve seen it in the desert,

And by the raging river,

Yet, it never asks for anything,

Just stays by our side.

বিশ্বাস

বিশ্বাস হলো একটি আলো, ছোট্ট প্রদীপ,

যা মনের গভীরে জ্বলে,

অনেক অন্ধকার রাতের মাঝে

এটি নিঃশব্দে জ্বলে।

কঠিন ঝড়ে যখন সব হারায়,

আর পথ যেন শেষ হয়ে যায়,

বিশ্বাস তখনই উঠে দাঁড়ায়,

কখনো নিভে না, তবে আলো দেয়।

আমি তাকে মরুভূমিতে দেখেছি,

আর উত্তাল নদীর তীরে,

তবুও সে কখনো কিছু চায়নি,

শুধু পাশে থেকে গেছে।
